Grilled Fillets of Sea Bream

Grilled Sea Bream Fillets are a delicious and healthy option for a simple yet elegant meal. With tender, flaky flesh and a mild flavor, sea bream is perfect for grilling, allowing the natural taste of the fish to shine through. Paired with a fresh lemony dressing or herbs, it’s ideal for a light dinner or a special occasion.

 Ingredients:

- 4 sea bream fillets (about 150g each)

- 2 tablespoons olive oil

- 2 garlic cloves, minced

- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves (or dried)

- Salt and black pepper, to taste

- Lemon wedges, for serving

 Instructions:

1. Prepare the Fish:

   - Pat the sea bream fillets dry with paper towels to remove any excess moisture. This will help achieve a nice, crispy skin when grilling.

2. Marinate the Fillets:

   - In a small bowl, mix the olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, parsley, thyme, salt, and pepper.

   - Rub the mixture all over the sea bream fillets, ensuring they are evenly coated. Let the fillets marinate for about 15-20 minutes.

3. Heat the Grill:

   - Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. If using a charcoal grill, make sure the coals are glowing and covered in white ash. If using a gas grill, heat it to about 375°F (190°C).

   - Lightly oil the grill grates to prevent the fish from sticking.

4. Grill the Sea Bream:

   - Place the fillets skin-side down on the hot grill. Grill for about 3-4 minutes on each side, depending on the thickness of the fillets, until the fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork. Be careful not to overcook the fish.

5. Serve:

   - Transfer the grilled sea bream fillets to a serving platter. Garnish with extra fresh herbs and serve with lemon wedges on the side for an added burst of freshness.

Tips:

- Skin-On Fillets: Keeping the skin on while grilling helps to hold the fish together and gives it a delicious crispy texture. Make sure the grill is hot enough to sear the skin.

- Grill Pan Option: If you don’t have access to an outdoor grill, you can use a grill pan on the stovetop to achieve similar results.

- Serving Suggestions: Serve with a simple side of grilled vegetables, a fresh salad, or steamed potatoes for a balanced meal.

This Grilled Fillets of Sea Bream recipe is perfect for those who love fresh, light, and flavorful dishes. The natural flavor of the sea bream is enhanced by the simplicity of the marinade, making it an easy yet impressive meal.
