 Ingredients:

For the Shrimp Lobster Patties:

- 1 pound raw shrimp, peeled and deveined

- 1/2 pound cooked lobster meat, chopped

- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko for extra crunch)

- 1/4 cup mayonnaise

- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

- 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning (or your favorite seafood seasoning)

- 1 teaspoon garlic powder

- 1/2 teaspoon salt

- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

- 1/4 cup green onions or chives, chopped (optional)

- 1 egg, beaten (to bind)

For Assembly:

- Burger buns (preferably brioche or potato buns)

- Lettuce leaves (such as butter lettuce or arugula)

- Tomato slices

- Red onion slices

- Avocado slices (optional)

- Lemon wedges (for serving)

- Tartar sauce or remoulade (for serving)

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Shrimp: In a food processor, pulse the raw shrimp until they are finely chopped but not pureed. Be careful not to over-process; you want some texture in the mixture.

2. Combine Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped shrimp, cooked lobster meat, breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and green onions (if using). Add the beaten egg and mix until everything is well combined.

3. Form Patties: Divide the mixture into 4-6 equal portions and shape them into patties, about 1-inch thick. Place the patties on a plate or baking sheet and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to help them firm up.

4. Cook the Patties: Preheat a grill, grill pan, or skillet over medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grill or pan to prevent sticking. Cook the shrimp lobster patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through (the internal temperature should reach 145°F/63°C).

5. Toast the Buns: While the patties are cooking, lightly toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

6. Assemble the Burgers: Place a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun. Add a shrimp lobster patty, then top with tomato slices, red onion slices, and avocado (if using). Spread tartar sauce or remoulade on the top half of the bun and place it on top of the burger.

7. Serve: Serve the shrimp lobster burgers with lemon wedges on the side for a fresh squeeze of citrus. Enjoy with your favorite side dishes, such as sweet potato fries or a fresh salad.

Tips:

- Freshness Matters: Use fresh, high-quality shrimp and lobster for the best flavor. If using frozen seafood, be sure to thaw and drain it well before using.

- Customize the Seasoning: Feel free to adjust the seasoning according to your taste preferences. Adding a bit of hot sauce can give it a spicy kick!

- Make Ahead: You can prepare the patties in advance and store them in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours before cooking.

This Shrimp Lobster Burger offers a decadent twist on a classic favorite and is sure to impress seafood lovers at your next gathering!
